Women’s Ride Day

Saturday, April 22nd is going to be a packed day of pedaling and promoting the good life!

Screen Shot 2017-04-20 at 8.38.45 AMThe first Women’s Ride Day of the year kicks off from the Bicycle Sport Shop Parmer location at 8am! Get there early to sign your waivers and find the proper group (10-12, 25-30, and 40-50 milers)

Then- go home, shower, rest up and head back out for some snacks, drinks, socializing and learning from the best at the “Art of Being an Athlete” Panel discussion.

Screen Shot 2017-04-20 at 8.38.33 AMI’m not sure I know a ton about work/life/training balance, but I sure am looking forward to talking about it with some of Austin’s premiere health experts this Saturday afternoon! I’m honored to be moderating this panel being held at Planview Saturday afternoon from 4p-6p.

The focus is the “art” of being an athlete – the panel will talk about those things that can derail someone just starting a path to fitness all the way to how even the most seasoned professionals can trip up.  We’ll discuss health, hydration, nutrition and the struggle of finding the balance while keeping the joy in what we love to do!

Dr. Lee Chilton is an ER doctor/trauma expert; Shelley Horner is an Army Master Fitness Trainer and knows how and when to balance work/family/fitness; Brittany Celata is our hydration specialist with Nuun; and Haley Hall is Pure Austin’s nutritionist.

Social 4-4:30; Panel 4:30-5:30pm, Q&A 5:30-6pm

There will be snacks and beverages provided.
